Maria is a 4th year student in Engineering Science, majoring in Nanoengineering. Her interests include nanophotonics (which she's currently working on), music, and reading classics. She hopes to make Nanoclub and UNC even more awesome than they were last year. After graduating, she intends to get a PhD.

Philip is in his second year of Engineering Science. His interest in nanotechnology lies in its great potential for alternative energy, including solar power and fuel cell technology. His hobbies and interests include badminton, volleyball, and playing the piano. He is also chairing the "UofT Habitat for Humanity Campaign" and part of Take Action! Organization.

Lemuel is in his final year of Engineering Science specializing in Nanoengineering after his one year internship. He was the director of the Undergraduate Nanotechnology Conference (UNC2009) last year. What interests him most about nanotechnology are its applications in the field of health and medicine. In his spare time, Lemuel enjoys learning many different languages, working out and reading.

Deryl is currently in his second year of the Engineering Science program. He is extremely interested in the applications of nanotechnology for the burgeoning fields of space research and energy systems. He also has a particular passion towards increasing the social awareness of the above- mentioned fields. Deryl's hobbies include philosophizing, writing poetry, reading and playing ping pong.

Ante is a 4th year Eng Sci student majoring in Nano. He is excited that he met lots of the Eng Scis from my work in the IBBME undergraduate labs and many others at this year's Clubs Day. He is glad to introduce to the Nanoclub newsletter that we will be sending out monthly. As VP Finance, he hopes to give all of you the same excellent experiences that the Nanoclub has given him in the past through the UNC, research talks and much more.

Parth is a third year nano student who loves tennis and anything about the books. Nanotech was his choice of subject before joining university and he is currently pursuing it with interest. At the moment, he is fascinated with the application of nano ingenetics and medicine. After collecting information from profs, websites, and peers, he is quite keen on giving advice and help to those who are looking at nano with doubts.
