The Nanoclub aims to promote nanotechnology at the University of Toronto. We are entirely student-run, but receive support from the Department of Materials Science Engineering and the Engineering Society (Skule™). Our members are drawn from a wide spectrum of disciplines at U of T, reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of nanoscience. Some of our goals and plans include:
  • Sponsor lectures by distinguished researchers in nano, from U of T and other universities.
  • Inform students about nanoengineering jobs from recent graduates and industry representatives.
  • Provide support to students in the Nanoengineering Option of Engineering Science.
  • Maintain contact among members of the club through regular Nanoclub newsletters containing recent fun research articles in the popular press and summaries of the clubs activities.
  • Hold social events for Nanoclub members to hang out and get to know one another.
  • Encourage involvement in and awareness of Nanoclub and nanotechnology among all years and all disciplines.
